Engage in Worship! We believe worship is an opportunity to be in the presence of the Living God. Authentic worship should be active, not passive. That is why we call our worship “Engage.” We come prepared not only to receive something from God, but to offer ourselves to God. We come together regularly as a community to celebrate God's goodness and enduring faithfulness in our lives.
Although worship is something we can do individually, God places special importance on worshiping together in community as neighbors. To encourage unity in worship, our services have an intentionally "blended" character. This means that during worship you may experience a blending of praise songs, contemporary Christian hits, and traditional hymns (perhaps even done with a pop, R&B, bluegrass, jazz, or even Latin flavor). Our desire is to lead people into the presence of God regardless of their age, background, or musical preferences ... so come as you are, ready to joyfully worship Jesus together.
Our Sunday morning worship services are designed to help people encounter and learn how to develop an intimate personal relationship with Christ. We believe if people learn how to connect with God in a meaningful way, their lives will never be the same. Through mutual encouragement, inspired teaching, and joyful giving of ourselves and our resources, we are able to come together before God a renewed community, Kingdom peoples committed to sensing God personally, seeking God passionately, and serving God purposefully in all we do.
Beyond Sunday Morning - Living a “Life of Worship”:
At Living Hope, we are constantly seeking to move beyond the joy filled confines of Sunday morning worship. Praising God is all about living a “Life of Worship,” (24/7) - in our homes, at school, at our jobs, in our leisure time, within our personal and professional relationships etc. We encourage you to engage not only in Sunday morning worship but to seek other ways to participate in the ongoing mission of God in the world. To begin, we encourage you to take advantage of classes, programs, k-groups, service opportunities etc. offered by Living Hope ... but don’t stop there! We challenge you to be creative, and to join God in those familiar and unlikely places where He is already working. You may be surprised at what you find!
